Considering the level of social vices that bedevil many communities, we resolve during our monthly mosque meeting that, the work of providing food, education and financial security should not be left with government alone. To have a safer world free of crime and lawlessness, one has to focus on the role of family and community toward maintaining low and order. Similarly we realized that in any giving community where less privilege individuals are allow to cater for them salve, the affected will do whatever they can to provide for themselves mostly through illegal means and the end result will not be palatable to the whole community and the state in general. Having discovered this, we are left with no option than to establish a foundation that will assist children and widows who lost their bread winners better known as an orphans. This led to establishment of a foundation known as AL-YATTAMA ORPANAGE WELFARE FOUNDATION.. Al--yataama orphanage welfare foundation is a nonprofit and nonpolitical organization established to encourage and provides welfare package for educational and economic empowerment to orphans and widows. The foundation is duly registered in Nigeria with corporate affairs commission Registration No.162691. Dated 4th August 2021.The foundation is equally registered with special control unit against money laundry (SCUML) registration NO SC 271400549. The foundation is currently assisting over seventy orphans in various area such as clothing, food, Islamic and secular education and vocational training for economic empowerment.
